Corey Cortez Wiggins

Corey Cortez Wiggins is executive director of the Mississippi State Conference NAACP, where he strives to create equitable opportunities through systems and public policy change. Wiggins was previously senior vice president of policy at Hope Enterprise Corporation and Hope Credit Union, and he was director of the Hope Policy Institute, focused on strengthening communities, building assets and improving lives in economically distressed parts of the mid-South. A longtime proponent of equitable health care access, he has also advocated for quality housing, education and infrastructure to support healthy communities. Born in Mississippi, Wiggins holds a Ph.D. from the University of Alabama in Birmingham.
