Tania Galloni

Tania Galloni guides criminal justice reform efforts in the state. At the SPLC, she has litigated federal court cases on behalf of students denied equal access to educational opportunities and incarcerated children challenging the conditions of their confinement. Tania also leads the office’s policy initiatives, which include its statewide effort to end the practice of trying children as adults. Before joining the SPLC, she worked with the Florida Immigrant Advocacy Center and with Florida Legal Services’ Migrant Farmworker Justice Project. She previously served as a clerk to Judge Donald M. Middlebrooks in the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Florida and to Judge Rosemary Barkett in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She is a graduate of Bryn Mawr College and Yale Law School.
