‘Leave Or Else,’ YouTube Video Warns Obama
EDITOR’S NOTE: Sometime Wednesday night, the video was removed from YouTube. No word on who’s responsible for putting it there in the first place, or taking it down.
Here’s an ominous posting on YouTube from the “Patriot” crowd. It advises President Obama and other prominent people (“Our Dear Leader and co.”) to “leave now and give us our country back” and to do so by next week.
“If you stay,” the silent video message continues, “ ‘We, The People’ will systematically dismantle you, destroy you and reclaim what is rightfully ours. …
“We are angry and we are ready to take back the rights of the people. We will fight and We will win. …
“Dead line [sic] for your national response: October 15, 2009
“Thank you to all patriots who support our cause. … Be prepared for when the fateful day of the declaration of war is nationally announced.”
In August, The Southern Poverty Law Center issued a special report, “Return of the Militias,” documenting a resurgence of Patriot and extreme-right militia activity around the country.

It will be interesting to find out who actually posted the message. It is highly doubtful that the “National Militia, Soldiers of Freedom” is an actual group. Like many terrorist communiques, it is possible that it is a fake name for a real group. Nevertheless, as the SPLC has reported many times, it is an ominous warning and a clear sign of escalating rhetoric towards revolution and a racial civil war. There is a clear strategy for this revolution and racial civil war that can be linked to top organizations in the Council for National Policy. Nor would it be possible to bring this about by collaborating with these institutions, but only by establishing a new movement which will fight against them for the purpose of carrying through a radical reformation in political, cultural and economic life. And this fight will have to be undertaken even at the sacrifice of life and blood, if that should be necessary. In this connection it is worthy of remark that when the average political party wins a victory no essential change takes place in the historical course which the people are following or in the outer aspect of public life; whereas a genuine revolution that arises from a profound ideological insight will always lead to a transformation which is strikingly impressive and is manifest to the outside world. In closing the need for our generations revolution is more then evident in America today. This war will change the course of not only our history but the history of the world as a whole. When that fateful day comes that our soldiers are called to arms may our men, women, and children maintain the courage and the will to preserver through what ever obstacles are thrown in our path. for our fight is that of righteous cause and may God’s divine guidance lead us to victory.

I believe this video should be thoroughly investigated for several reasons. The whole idea that any President should stand for being threatened is inappropriate. What’s more, the threats therein are bizarre. Examine this: “systematically dismantle you, destroy you and reclaim what is rightfully ours.” This is unique verbiage.
Frankly this sounds like a “one man band”. “The National Militia”?
Realistically – the Secret Service most likely has the Juvenile-Jackass in a interview room right now.
However, it’s my personal belief that many WN and “one man bands” claim they are “Militias” as a means of attracting some people who would completely disavow the WN message and / or create the image of a larger group that that which really exists.
Although the not-so-subtle undercurrent of racism, flooding through reactionary politics at this point is very disheartening; I thought we had grown up a bit more.

Not doubting the severity of this threat (from the maniacs that gave us the Oklahoma City bombing) but is there a way to tell if this is a real threat coming from an actual group as in a chapter name, location, etc.? Because this is the scariest stuff I’ve read in a long time (close to North Korea’s missile tests, but less immediate).
Side note: And I thought “Anonymous” was crazy. If anyone should have “Joker paint” (from Dark Knight) on their face in a poster, it should be these guys.

What I find fascinating is the fact that the righties radio network and fantasy newz station can pretend they have no part in this kind of craziness.

I’m confused about this, are they fighting for the right to NOT have health insurance?
We know the right is eager and salivating to start at least two more wars, and NOT pay for them but, receive TAX CUTS again some more at that same time. And yet, they bemoan the spending now, when Obama attempts to repay the debts and provide for those outsourced for profits by the obscenely wealthy so they may supplement their already overly padded incomes. Face it, there is NO amount of wealth that is enough for those on the right.
I would offer those that “think” they may be supported in any effort to overthrow our ELECTED and strongly supportetd government, that our military will stomp you into the earth and be supported by those of us that TRULY do love our nation and not just prance around talking about it. You know, those of us that actually served our country for the ENTIRE amount of our enlistment! You know, I think I could actually support the idea of the US being split into two separate countries. Calve off a handful of the worst redneck-infested states, call it a new country and allow them to govern it however they like. If they want to have 17 guns for every person in the population, if they want to evict all non-whites and turn the place into a christian version of taliban afghanistan, then let them friggin do it.
The only tricky part would be to ensure that they can’t get a hold of nuclear weapons etc… just make sure they don’t have good ways to then launch an attack on the old state.

I’m a true American!!! My Father was a Vietnam Vet, who did 3 tours of Duty, and died for his Country. Also, my Stepfather an EX con Biker. I grew up with 2 firm beliefs. I see with my eye’s wide open, I know the truth, and know what is RIGHT. My Father was sworn to protect his country, and my Stepfather was sworn to protect his people, and for that they were willing to Die for a cause. When there is a threat like this it should be addressed, and taken seriously. You may say this is rambling from an Idiot, a goober, a stupid Redneck ect….ect…. Believe what you want. I think not. I can see the point that they are making……. We as the people were promised CHANGE… When is it… I don’t see it… I didn’t vote for it, because it will never happen!! This is not the only group that has called for “revolution” of late. There is also a group called “NARLO” (National Assoc. of Rural Landowners), which has a video on the “coming civil war,” etc. Their website is at http://www.narlo.org. It’s part of the Tea Party/Militia/Tenth Amendment crowd.
By the way, all of these groups seem to be coalescing under a single “Patriot” group movement.

Change? If you are refering to President Obama’s presidency and you feel he hasn’t changed anything yet, I suggest you look for a different place to get your information. You are all upset about jobs being taken away by illegals but you never put the responsibility on those who hire illegals – why not? There are already laws against hiring illegals, but, instead of putting the blame on those who continue to profit off of illegals, you want Federal intervention from Obama? Why not start working to get all your local businesses to hire only Americans and pay them a living wage? Why blame Obama?
As for illegals sending money out of the country – you really need to step out of your irrational hate long enough to see what is going on. You could add up all the money sent out of this country by illegals, times it by a hundred, or a thousand, and you still wouldn’t come close to the amount of money sent out of this country by corporations who use tax loopholes to send their profits out of our communities to overseas tax havens.
Getting uneducated people to hate illegal immigrants is just an easy way for the ultra rich to distract from their own crimes against this nation.
And they’ve used their lobbyists to get their Republican Congresscritters to make it legal to send our jobs overseas to sweat-shops where people work in virtual – and actual – slavery, taking away American jobs so that they can be billionaires and so you can buy cheap crap at Walmart.
You have fallen for the propaganda of the ultra-rich – they want you to stay busy hating those who have even less than you, so you will not notice that they are stealing this country blind.
Now, if you really hate what you say you hate, I suggest you do the following: educate yourself better on what is really going on – while you have let yourself be distracted by hate and propaganda, the ultra rich in this country has gotten far richer – at our expense. Those are the enemies of this country – and Bush helped them get so well set up that it will take years to undo the damage.
Why don’t you start taking action, (not violent action – REAL action) to start making the changes you believe in. Start in your community – is there a problem in your community with illegals taking jobs? If so, start with the companies that HIRE them.
Don’t just sit and complain and then brag that you aren’t doing anything to help right what you see is wrong – that isn’t the American way. And don’t let your life be consumed by hate. Get up, get active, do good for your community and your country. Be a part of making it right – and stay away from anyone who tries to convince you that hate and violence are the answers. You stated that ‘they should not be protected by the Free Speech Amendment,’ and I simply don’t agree.
I’m a professional journalist, and the truth is, as I see it, a good thing to let these people express their ideas. Why? Because they show exactly how they feel, and it makes them clowns. Fools in the eyes of others. For every time a clan member marches around in Pulaski, TN, calling for the destruction of all other races they NEED to be televised.
This was a technique that was used to DESTROY the KKK in the 1940′s. The KKK was crushed because people started talking about their interests of killing and started talking about their secret handshakes on the radio. It made them buffoons.
There is a power and mystique in secrecy. There isn’t really something awe inspiring to others when a person can’t spell the appropriate homophone of ‘patience.’

It was me that alluded to the Civil War (Brother against brother). Do you think it’s going to happen? The more I think about it, the more I wish that I lived further from Washington, and I live in North Carolina! In fact, the Civil War was fought in many states, a lot of it in North Carolina.
These guys “warn” us about the coming of martial law. Well, when they fail, after an insane amount of violence… well, just think of it as a “self-fulfilling prophesy”.
Personally though, I really doubt they’re going to follow through with their threat.

Sorry for double-posting, but even with all my long-winded posts, I couldn’t have said what you said any better.
It’s easy to find “dangerous foreigners” and “job-stealing illegals”, but with people around you that look like you and speak your language arming-up for a violent take-over, you can’t find them until they say something or until it’s too late.
It’s this strange fear that might bring a different form of McCarthyism (“Are you now or have you ever been a card-carrying member of an anti-government militia?”) and I don’t think I’d have as strong an opinion against that as I did against the original kind.

Scott, when (and don’t talk about 1776) have today’s “militias” ever done a single thing to preserve liberty and freedom. I’ve never seen them do anything but run around with their weapons and fatigues like a bunch of infantile fools playing cowboys and indians.

No, I’d bet that they will only manage to get up to little more than a few murderous spree killings. But they have dreams of a new civil war in which, somehow, their redneck manhood will be redeemed, and they will do whatever they can to generate as much violence as they can.
A black man in the White House has provided them with an excuse to let their worst instincts govern their actions. Sad to say, I think the only thing holding them back at this point is cowardice.

Actually, considering Obama’s constant retreat determination to let right wing republicans dominate politics even when they have a tiny minority, I’m surprised Mr. Obama and co. aren’t packing their bags to leave right now. We have to reach across the aisle and make sure that no conservative, middle-class white male with a sense of entitlement is upset in any way.

seriously, this crap makes me sick, im junior in high school and i’m learning about civil rights. I pains me to read bull s**t on here telling that this world still has so much hate in it. its depressing, i don’t want to live in a country were there is or was segregation and slavery. We think we made things better and we have but people still think and act in a way that should never have exsisted. ITS WRONG, ITS ALL WRONG!!!!. You can t treat people like that.

Yeah, the 15th came and went, without do much as anything different on a google search for the relevant quote (I used “Our Dear Leader and co.” and October 15). Nothing came up except Hatewatch and similar blogs.
