Racists Holding Event at Former Justice Roy Moore’s Foundation

By Heidi Beirich on February 18, 2010 - 1:10 pm, Posted in Anti-Black, White Supremacist

This coming Saturday, the Foundation for Moral Law (FML) in Montgomery, Ala., will be the site of the 2010 Alabama Secession Day Commemoration, featuring speakers tied to the League of the South, a neo-Confederate hate group that considers slavery “God-ordained” and advocates for “the cultural dominance of the Anglo-Celtic people and their institutions.” The Foundation for Moral Law’s president is defrocked Alabama Chief Supreme Court Justice Judge Roy Moore, who is more commonly known as the “Ten Commandments judge.” In the dead of night on July 31, 2001, Moore placed a 2½-ton stone monument with the Decalogue carved on it in the rotunda of the Alabama Supreme Court building, where he then presided. Moore was thrown out of office in 2003 by Alabama’s Court of the Judiciary after refusing to remove the monument, as he was ordered to do as the result of a federal lawsuit brought by the Southern Poverty Law Center.

The event is being organized by Patricia Godwin, a racist neo-Confederate from Selma who annually holds a birthday party to honor Confederate Gen. Nathan Bedford Forrest, a wealthy slave trader who became the first grand wizard of the Ku Klux Klan. Godwin, who often refers in E-mails to her majority-black hometown as “Zimbabwe on de Alabamy,” has lately crusaded to block any acknowledgement on the Capitol grounds of the 1965 Selma-to-Montgomery civil rights march. Godwin has railed at “the trash that came here in 1965,” complaining that those who honor the civil rights movement “are aiding and abetting the ultimate goal of the ONE WORLD ORDER — to BROWN AmeriKa and annihilate Anglo-Celtic-European culture!”

The event Godwin is advertising features quite a lineup of extremists. Franklin Sanders, a charter member of the League of the South, will be speaking. Sanders is a radical tax protester who writes on his website how state tax officials in Arkansas, where he was living at the time, found him liable for $30,000 in unpaid sales taxes, causing him to flee to Tennessee. In Tennessee, he ran afoul of both federal and state tax officials and eventually served time on state charges. He’s also a novelist. In 1989, Sanders published Heiland, a novel whose title means “savior” in German. In it, America is divided into two: the “Insiders” are the urban, pro-federal government population, while the “Freemen” are rural folks who refuse to pay taxes and live happily off the land. In the end, the Freemen realize they cannot live with the Insiders and decide to establish “the rule of Immanuel” by, in part, destroying Nashville with a laser freeze ray.

Another league favorite, John Eidsmoe, is on the bill. Eidsmoe is a former law school professor and close friend and one-time legal adviser to Roy Moore. A theocrat, Eidsmoe has suggested that the government “may not act contrary to God’s laws.” In 2005, Eidsmoe spoke to the national conference of the Council of Conservative Citizens, a hate group that routinely denigrates blacks as “genetically inferior,” complains about “Jewish power brokers,” calls homosexuals “perverted sodomites,” accuses immigrants of turning America into a “slimy brown mass of glop,” and named Lester Maddox, the now-deceased, ax handle-wielding, arch-segregationist former governor of Georgia, “Patriot of the Century.”

Chuck Baldwin, a Pensacola, Fla., pastor and former presidential candidate for the staunchly antigovernment, anti-abortion, anti-gay, and anti-immigrant Constitution Party, will also speak. Baldwin has written that “the South was right in the War Between the States” and that Martin Luther King Jr. “brought havoc and unrest to America as few men have ever done.” Baldwin also asserted during a campaign appearance that Sept. 11 could have been an inside job and vowed, if elected, to appoint an independent committee to uncover the truth. In recent months, Baldwin has been warning of President Obama’s supposed plans to return 200,000 troops from other countries to the U. S. Northern Command in preparation for an imminent civil war at home.

Godwin’s E-Mail says that the event is a “GRASSROOTS event & is NOT sponsored by the Foundation for Moral Law,” but she adds that “All Proceeds go to Foundation for Moral Law.”

UPDATE: Rich Hobson, executive director of the Foundation for Moral Law, told AP on Feb. 19 that Moore was unaware of the event.

You are a racist just like many white southerners!

  • buck mccord

southerners by and large are not racist,if you oppose race mixing[which i do] then you are a racist.when the gays and liberals have taken over then the moral majority will be the minority, you were warned in the 50s and 60s what would happen under darkey control[confusion] the southern people during reconstruction had the right idea about the northern ruled government ,ruled by greed and atheism.call me a racist if you like ,you dont seem to have the proper definition for anythingelse.

Sorry for the spelling errors above. Citizens should read citizen’s and rediculous should read ridiculous. I’m usually not so sloppy (smile).

Dustup, I truly believe that you are on the wrong forum. The SPLC fights for our Constitutional protections (secular law). They are not a religious organization.
In addition, how is the SPLC against citizens rights under the First Amendment? I’m sorry but that is a rediculous assertion.

If the SPLC is for America, why is it against the 10 Commandments and Judge Roy Moore’s rights to display them just like the SC and Congress?

If the SPLC is for Civil rights why is it against citizens rights under the First Amendment?

Jack, maybe you can’t tell the difference between socialism and fascism, but millions of people who lived under both systems could. It sounds like you have been reading books by a certain ignorant pundit.

“Socialism/Communism and Fascism/Nazism are, have been, and will always be, ideologically incompatible, never mind such propaganda conflating the two vis-a-vis President Obama.

Put simply, Socialism is to the Left; Fascism, the Right.”

I have to respectfully disagree re Socialism/Communism. Socialism is an economic system whereas communism is a system of governance. The two do not necessarily have to go together.

  • Jack

“Unfortunately your view of the political spectrum is the only thing here that doesn’t represent reality.”

Of course it does, you would have to be a fool not to see, or purposely ignorant.

There is no difference between fascism or socialism, all power is in the gov’s hands.

  • Ruslan Amirkhanov

Jack, you are clearly blind if you don’t see constant anti-Communist messages throughout pop culture. It is still considered normal and acceptable to say “Stalin killed more people than Hitler” despite the fact that this is demonstrably false.

Unfortunately your view of the political spectrum is the only thing here that doesn’t represent reality.

  • Jack

“And when you say you never hear about the crimes of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. Are you high? Or just blind?”

There is a reason we call the “History” channel the Hitler channel.

The hand wringing about Hitler is endless and pervasive.

It is rare to see any bad reference to Stalin, Pol Pot or Mao in mainstream media but Hitler is everywhere, every day.

“Put simply, Socialism is to the Left; Fascism, the Right.”

Wrong. Both of those systems represent complete government power, just a different flavor.

In reality they are both on the right extreme, which is complete government power, and the extreme left would be anarchy, lack of any government power.

The silly traditional left-right scheme does not represent reality.

  • Ruslan Amirkhanov

Yes, white people are so oppressed in America.

“Once again, the victimizers portray themselves as victims.” – Snorlax

    Victimizers? Excuse me?

There you go – proof alone that people like Snorlax who post on this site certainly are racist, just racist towards white men. Whether or not he is a white man is irrelevant since it does not justify such racism – in one fell swoop he has claimed that all white men are “victimizers”.

Why am I a victimizer Snorlax? Because other white men have committed atrocities throughout history? Because those individuals share my skin color and gender? Meanwhile, in the same breath you will claim not to judge a person based on the color of their skin or gender! The subjectivity of your standards is embarrassing!

In the past I have been denied both grants and scholarships based on my race. I’m not concerned with what OTHER white men have done throughout history – that has nothing to do with me. As such, I refuse to put up with these double standards any longer. The same goes for other white men and white people in general.

Whether the SPLC approves or not is not my concern.

  • Ruslan Amirkhanov

Hey Jack, you might want to do some research some time. The figure 4 million was based on a Soviet miscalculation, assuming that the crematoriums were running all the time since their construction- when in fact several of them experienced a period of down-time in 1944. In the west this figure was never accepted, but being behind the Iron Curtain it became part of the official story and stuck. Once the Iron Curtain was down, the more accurate number was implemented- it was from this number, not the 4 million, that the Holocaust total was calculated. Simple math indeed.

And when you say you never hear about the crimes of Stalin, Mao, Pol Pot, etc. Are you high? Or just blind?

“Those of us who have suffered from this double standards will reclaim our rights…” – by Lee

    And there you are.

Once again, the victimizers portray themselves as victims.

Josef Goebbels would be proud of the audacity of this Big Lie.

  • Jack

    How can that be?
The numbers killed plaque at Auschwitz has changed several times in history and went from 4 million to 1.1 million.
So the 11 -12 million should have dropped to 8 or 9.

This is simple math guys, come on.

It’s always a numbers game with you guys. We know a lot of people died in Europe at that time.

Why are the numbers always inflated?

We all know the real reason.

Then, to top it off, you guys NEVER mention the deaths caused by the left: Stalin, Pol Pot or Mao.

Those guys made Hitler look like a piker and never ran in the how many killed competition.

But we know why they aren’t mentioned, you guys push their ideas and the average doofus of today with a public school education won’t have the intellectual capacity to fight through the propaganda to view reality.

  • Ruslan Amirkhanov

Lee, the number of people killed in the Holocaust was always 11-12 million(though they were not turned into soap; only a small experimental batch was made). There were somewhere around 4.8-6 million Jews killed, and the rest is Gypsies, homosexuals, Poles, Ukrainians, political prisoners, etc.

  • Louis

As a native southerner I am outraged by this. I have one word to describe the whole lot of them – REDNECKS!!!!

  • Lee

“And that ideology victimized 11 million people by turning them into soap.” – snorlax

So the number is 11 million now? It seems to change an awful lot. The stories about human beings being turned into soap are rejected by all respected historians and if this is a reflection of the intellectual level you are at it is not a surprise that people will reject what you say entirely.

If you actually bothered to read amren you would find little if anything that could be considered racist by any reasonable definition – although that word is used so loosely it has little meaning any more.

As a white person who has been denied government funding and job positions due to my race, what do you expect me to do? Sit here and take this discrimination and raise children in an environment where they only stand to be more discriminated against? Please. Those of us who have suffered from this double standards will reclaim our rights with or without the approval of the SPLC.

    This is a telling article on projection in wikipedia;

    Psychological projection – http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/P.....projection

  • Allen

What these self-proclaimed victims fear is that, if non-whites really get enough empowerment, that they will treat whites the same exact way that whites treated them. What they don’t acknowledge is that race-based victimization is exclusively a white European cultural invention. Non-whites cannot adopt this as this has never been a part of their cultural traditions! But WNs cannot fathom this idea because the ideal of race-based victimization is drilled into their heads down through the generations; they can’t even imagine a society where this sort of racial victimization doesn’t exist. In their minds, there has to be an underclass, the ideal of an equal society just can’t enter their minds because the brainwashing is too strong.

“Freudian projection is the process of attributing one’s own ideas, feelings, or attitudes to other people or objects–the guilt-laden adulterer accuses his spouse of adultery, the homophobe actually harbors latent homosexual tendencies. A subtle form of projection can be seen in the accusation by Christians that secular humanism and evolution are “religions”; or by cultists and paranormalists that skeptics are themselves a cult and that reason and science have cultic properties.” –From http://www.spiralnature.com/ph.....ycult.html

What I’m trying to say with the above quote is that the psychological problem that the WNs have (the desire to have a racial underclass) is being projected on the rest of us in their sick little minds, and that’s why they whine about being victims when the rest of us who live in the real world just don’t see it.

I think that eventually these delusions will have to be seen for what they really are; a psychopathology that causes the sufferer to not be able to deal with reality in a rational manner and causes them to behave in violent manners that make them a danger to society. Therefore, best to put them in mental institutions until they can be cured of their delusions and stop being a danger to themselves and others.

It’s not being held at a hotel, but rather at the offices of the Foundation for Moral Law. The same building hosts Moore’s Coalition to Restore America, which is why he’s likely involved.

    After all, it’s a tiny building…

Link to Google Maps street view of it: http://bit.ly/akZXOo

(I think that link works… new at this)

  • majii

Add to this the fact that the KKK has a rally scheduled in the southern part of GA this Saturday. The cockroaches are feeling bolder than ever.

  • skinnyminny

Yeah, it’s interesting they continue to brag about their European bloodlines. Well, as I stated I am multiracial, when I looked up my European bloodlines, apparently, it indicated “servant.” Then the other part indicated “Ancient Order Mystic Shrine,” whatever that is. There’s the other part of Native American, and lastly Black so I am sure this is a “slave.”

So, how do you figure out what part is what?

At the same time, I think we need to remind these people that this is America not Europe! They constantly remind immigrants that this is America and not their home country! They constantly remind immigrants that ‘we’ speak English in America! They constantly remind immigrants this is a Christian nation!

  • daemonesslisa

Don’t forget “Communist”. They’ve been throwing that around these posts lately. They say anyone who doesn’t agree with them is a communist.

    Just communists?

But I thought we were the communist/socialist/marxist/stalinist/maoist/zionist/fascist/racist/ZOG/homosexual/muslim/jewish/open-borders/liberal media machine. You know, the people that the all-powerful, nation-founding, god-ordained, proud Aryan Race are just so very helpless against.

I swear, you almost don’t want to make fun of them and take them seriously, but sometimes they make it so easy. I really don’t know why they bother.

  • Carol Coulson

These people have been causing nothing but unrest in this Country….nothing anyone says will ever change their minds.
They are a bunch of sick animals WHO ARE RACISTS.
They are labeled as Radical Southern Troublemakers & THE REST OF THIS COUNTRY CAN SEE THE PICTURE. IT IS A REFLECTION OF THOSE IN THE HALLS OF CONGRESS WHO REPRESENT THE SOUTHERN REPUBLICAN CONSERVATIVES & WHO ARE REPRESENTATIVE OF THESE GROUPS WHO ALLOW THIS TO CONTINUE IN THE SOUTH.
THE PROBLEM IS….THE SOUTHERN WHITE EXTREME CONSERVATIVE DYNASTY CANNOT TOLERATE A HALF BLACK/HALF WHITE MAN TO BE A PRESIDENT…WHICH THE REST OF THIS COUNTRY CAN SEE THE WHOLE PICTURE & WHERE THE TROUBLE IS COMING FROM.

  • Rose

Now I know why some mothers eat their young! Some of these hate groups are actuallly better off unborn, because they never quite become a full human being.

  • Snorlax

Does anybody know what hotel is hosting this Klanbake?

Maybe the hotel can be informed as to the real ideology of these cretins.

    They’re bad for business.

  • Snorlax

You’ll notice that these racist groups are increasingly portraying themselves as victims. They’re saying that other people want to wipe them out.

This is from the same crowd that likes to give stiff arm salutes on April 20th. They like to say “88″ a lot.

And that ideology victimized 11 million people by turning them into soap.

    Victims, my ass.

  • Snorlax

I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to see Judge Roy Moore defrocked.

He can keep his frock on.
