Coulter: GOP Supports Arming Blacks to Defend Against Dems

By Leah Nelson on April 20, 2012 - 7:46 am, Posted in Extremist Propaganda

In Superman comics, Bizzaro World is a cube-shaped planet on which all normal rules of reality are reversed and everything is the opposite of the way it is on Planet Earth.

It is also the only place imaginable where Ann Coulter’s assertion that “For more than a hundred years, Republicans have aggressively supported arming blacks, so they could defend themselves against Democrats” could possibly be uttered with a straight face.

That’s not all Coulter had to say. Writing about the Trayvon Martin case in an article posted Wednesday on, she declared that if it were indeed true that George Zimmerman killed Martin because he was black, then “every black person in America should get a gun and join the National Rifle Association, America’s oldest and most august civil rights organization.”

“Gun control laws were originally promulgated by Democrats to keep guns out the hands of blacks,” she wrote, noting that “the KKK was an outgrowth of the Democratic Party” and that the Anti-Klan Act of 1871 was passed under a Republican president.

We’ve heard this line before: Republicans, who are constantly getting accused of racism, are the “party of Lincoln.” Democrats, who were secessionists and KKK members, are the real racists.

What gives?

Coulter, like others who make this argument, aren’t 100% wrong. It’s just that they’ve conveniently forgotten a rather large chunk of 20th century history in which the two parties rapidly switched places on a matters of race and states’ rights, with the Democrats taking a sharp left and the Republicans skidding decisively to the right. Jesse Helms and Strom Thurmond, two of the most stridently conservative politicians of the late 20th century, began their careers as Democrats. Thurmond left the party briefly in 1948 to run for president as the segregationist States’ Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) candidate, and permanently in 1964 in protest of the Civil Rights Act – which was, as Coulter seems to have forgotten, passed at the strong urging of President Lyndon B. Johnson, a southern Democrat. Helms, who in 1983 famously attempted to filibuster the establishment of Martin Luther King Jr. Day as a federal holiday, stuck with the Democrats a little longer than Thurmond but became a Republican in 1970, shortly before his first run for Congress.

But those itty bitty details don’t matter to Coulter, who, in reference to a book by militant black activist Robert F. Williams, titled her Townhall article “Negroes with Guns” and spent several paragraphs lauding his bravery.

A controversial figure within the early civil rights movement, Williams was a military veteran and NRA fan who in the late 1950s founded the Black Armed Guard to fight the Klan. He was suspended from the NAACP after saying that blacks should “meet violence with violence,” and is considered a major influence on later militant movements like the Black Panther Party. During a period of self-exile from the United States in the 1960s, Williams reportedly met with Communist leaders Mao Tse-tung and Ho Chi Minh.

Coulter, who is not a known fan of communism or militant liberation ideology, somehow forgot to mention these facts in her little screed.

She is not the first gun rights advocate with a selective memory for history. Second Amendment hardliners have for decades argued that, had it not been for gun control laws promulgated by the Nazis, the Holocaust would never have happened. This theory was popularized by the late Aaron Zelman of the far-right Jews for the Preservation of Firearms Ownership, who claimed that the 1968 Gun Control Act was explicitly based on Hitler’s gun laws.

In fact, Hitler liberalized gun control laws for everyone but those he considered enemies, so while it’s convenient to recast him as a gun control fanatic, it’s also patently disingenuous. That hasn’t stopped gun rights advocates like NRA leader Wayne LaPierre – who has also described federal agents as “jack-booted government thugs” and accused President Obama of having secret plans to strip away Americans’ guns – from embracing it. “If every family on this planet owned a good-quality rifle, genocide would be on the path to extinction,” he once wrote.

With help from hardliners like Coulter (who in March compared critics of George Zimmerman to a Klan lynch mob), LaPierre and his organization have also been the main force behind the “Stand Your Ground” law being used to justify Martin’s killing. Just yesterday, Florida Gov. Rick Scott, a Republican, appointed a 17-member task force to review the law, which police cited as their reason for not arresting Zimmerman immediately after he shot and killed Martin in late February. Zimmerman, who on April 11 was charged with second-degree murder, is reportedly claiming self-defense under the Stand Your Ground law.

According to an analysis by the Tampa Bay Times, Florida’s Stand Your Ground law has been invoked at least 130 times since 2005. In the majority of those cases, the person who used it did not face a trial. Of those, 50 were never charged with a crime, nine were granted immunity by a judge, nine were dismissed, and 10 pleaded guilty to lesser charges. Twenty-eight cases made it to trial, resulting in 19 guilty verdicts. The other cases were still pending.

Zimmerman’s bond hearing was set for Friday, and in light of menacing talk from groups like the New Black Panther Party (which last month offered a $10,000 reward for Zimmerman’s capture, “dead or alive”), his lawyers have expressed concern for his safety should he be set free.

By Ann Coulter’s logic, there’s no reason to think he won’t be a-okay – as long has he’s still got a gun to defend himself against people retaliating for his previous efforts, that is.

The maddness of radicals is apparent in organizations like the NRA, I unjoined when their rhetoric became dis jointed like Ann Coulter.

  • Sam Molloy

Roger, it’s pretty well evidenced that our current welfare system does not work as promised . Witness the documentary, “the Wild and wonderful Whites of West Virginia”. This all white, White family never works, they all get some kind of check and are profoundly more disfunctional than most working poor families.

  • Guardian

Maybe the New Black Panther Party put her up to this. They’ve got to be loving this.

  • Roger MacEvoy

    Thomas Haines you said:
“Calling Ann Coulter names is counterproductive. Try arguing with her points. Every black ghetto in America is run by the democratic party,EVERYONE!!! The schools are crap, dropout rates sky high.”

I agree with the name calling bit. but about the only that is always true is using words and phrases like “always, every, everyone, all etc..” The statement about the Democratic Party is clearly not true in many of our big cities especially in the south and the west and is a major reason why resources are not spread out evenly. There may be African-Americans and Democrats who “run” the districts but they are still resource poorer because the city overall allocates the resources and may do so based of tax input.

Schools are nearly as segregated today as they were before mandatory desegregation and what we are seeing is the same patterns of resource mis-allocation that was the whole reason for desegregation in the first place. “Separation is inherently unequal” is proving itself once again.

Having been a professional in education and watched the testing and dropout controversy closely I can tell you that there is just a big a problem with both city and rural schools here in Wyoming and dropout rates are often as big as in the big city’s. Many places like Houston have done a remarkable job of covering up by faking their statistics in both testing and dropouts. There often remove students from the testing year to a lower grade to pad test scores for instance.

Students can be sent to certain federal and other programs that don’t count against the dropout rate and some districts use this for cover as they do their GED programs. But the inner city schools and parents can’t afford connectivity to use many of these programs. As for the some of these techniques they are illegal and inner city schools under sanction are under such scrutiny they can’t get away with this. They simply can’t cheat like the rich schools can.

I’m not really sure what is meant by the phrase “black ghetto” because ghetto’s have historically been places of rich cultural and historical development. One only has to look to the Jewish ghettos of Europe, Italian, Irish, Polish and other ghettos here as well as African-American ghettos in South Chicago and Harlem to see what I’m speaking of.

Another possible definition is potentially racist/economic, especially when shouted with a statement like “EVERYONE!!!” I make this point as the statement leaves no room for exception which is just not what any reasonable person can accept regardless of political viewpoint. There is no mention of Hispanic ghettos, Hmong ghettos, Vietnamese ghettos, Chinese ghettos and as an Irish descendant of the famine the ones I personally despise, Protestant English ghettos.

Never ever a mention of the “white ghettos,” but you know, they’re there, its just that the stats get loaded into the other “white kids.” Yeah, the fact that nobody ever says “white ghetto” makes the phrase “black ghetto” clearly racist.

  • Roger MacEvoy

1860 was not 1866 in the Republican and Democratic Parties let alone 1958 and 1972. I remember something about Lyndon Johnson saying “We have lost the South for a generation” to the Republicans after signing the Civil Rights Act of 1964.

Ann Coulter is not a historian and her frequent comments reflect that just as her book names and covers show that she is more interested in provoking reactions than discourse. Abraham Lincoln appointed several individuals as Union Generals who were thrown our of European nations for their part in leading radical revolutionaries in 1848. These were not American style revolutionaries but rather in the more in the mode of what Miss Coulter would call “Pinko Commies.” (Well, she would probably call someone who donates a buck a month to the local animal shelter a pinko.) But some of these men were very radical left individuals even by todays standards.

I suggest that she read some history and find out just what the original meaning of what a “Radical Republican” was in the 1850’s and she might shut her mouth. There is a reason that these Radicals saw John Brown as a hero and supported his work in Kansas even before Harpers Ferry including members of the United States Senate. Yes John Brown committed an act of insurrection against the United States, but it was because he and the Radical (liberal) Republicans felt that slaves and black Americans were people, not chattel to counted as 2/3 of a man.

Nelson Rockefeller was one of the last Republicans from that group to still call himself a liberal and trace his party descent from Lincoln. The party that exists today is more the party of Strom Thurmond who defected from the Democrats to run in 1948 on the States Rights Democratic Party (Dixiecrat) ticket. He ran as a one issue candidate, segregation. He became a Republican in 1964 again over the issue of segregation with Goldwater’s support.

The “Party of Lincoln” is dead.

  • Valetta

    Dear Ms. Nelson and Commenters:

If you’re writing in the hopes of changing someone’s way of thinking, citations for statements like “…the Anti-Klan Act of 1871…” or “The mayor of Chicago is not a white man” or “Hitler liberalized gun control laws for everyone…” or “…Thurmond left the party … permanently in 1964 in protest of the Civil Rights Act,” would be helpful to those who know nothing about these things. Without citations, your lines of reasoning seem totally ungrounded, except to those who know your sources or lived the moment and are already part of your choirs… The mayor of Chicago is not a white man? Really?! What’s your source, if I may ask?

  • legalhound

I still think we should do away with conceal/carry permits all together and to get a regular permit, people should have to pass a psychological evaluation and then prove that they actually know how to use the gun they have. It would help keep the crazies out there from being able to have a gun at all and would make sure that the sane are actually competent.

  • Whatever

I would not consider my previous comment “name calling”, either… I was refering to the venom with which Ann likes to spew her ideology. I just really don’t think that such a hatefull person is being human…

Such as calling 40% of the citizens of the US “Demonics” instead of Democrats. It is hateful vile divisiveness she spews… she may be possesed hereself… I don’t know.

  • Whatever

I am really confused… is it not the conservatives that want to defund and privatize public education? I have never heard of one Democrat that wants to do this.

Look at what Governor Scott Walker is doing to education in Wisconsin. It is not rocket science to understand what the GOP has in mind as far as public education.

The voucher system is nothing short of trying to siphon off non partisan public education school’s funding and sending it into religious institutions to breed good little religious right soldiers of all backgrounds.

Is this the solution? I seriously think not.

  • Mick

This is an article about gun control, has nothing to do with racism, and should not be on a Hatewatch .

  • Thomas Haines

Calling Ann Coulter names is counterproductive. Try arguing with her points. Every black ghetto in America is run by the democratic party,EVERYONE!!! The schools are crap, dropout rates sky high. I worked in Oakland CA in the NYC and I know how intelligent young black men are but the schools are terrible. 80% of black families are headed by a single parent (mother) and she is likely to be a drop out What are we doing about it. I was suragate father to dozens of youth and took in kids from the streets or the juvinile justice system. I am proud of them and one in particular takes kids in and helps hundreds of others. Trayvon Martin case is a tragedy but look what it has spawned! When I was young the white KKK used to lynch a black on SUSPICION of any supposed crime. Now we have the NEW BLACK PANTHER PARTY (aka KKK) wanting to lynch Zimmerman. NO TRIAL, NO FACTS just lynch him!!! We’ve come a long way baby! I don’t know if what I heard on the news is true but allegedly Trayvon’s mortician said “fight, what fight, there wasn’t a mark on Trayvon’s body”! What he said was Zimmerman did not get a punch in! THANKS!!! There goes the case for Trayvons self defense! Let’s get real here, we need more black men taking responsibility (women too) for children and we need EDUCATION. I had one young man in the NYC in Oakland who could not read his high school diploma. In one month he passed the GED test!! Smart you bet, and he got a good job from his NYC training. Why didn’t the schools do their job?? The SPLC is doing a good job but when will we stop being slaves?? Slaves to politicians who through black welfare (slavery) try to enslave us again and just want ourr vote! If the SPLC is ever successful it will put itself out of business and for the good of all, the sooner the better!!

  • GWilliams

Unfortunately for you, Rebecca, there now exists a large body of empirical evidence showing that those who identify with conservative causes and political parties also identify with, or have themselves, strongly authoritarian personalities. So strong in fact that the RWA Scale, which measures ones level of authoritarian deference (willingness to submit to authority) is now being used as “our most powerful measure of the liberal-conservative dimension in politics.”(Altemeyer, 1998, p. 53).

Wilson, another political psychologist said “neither conceptually nor empirically does there appear to be any grounds for distinguishing authoritarianism and the conservative personality – except that the former may be regarded as a somewhat more particular case of the latter” (Wilson, G., The psychology of conservatism. New York: Academic Press.).
Or how about a criminality paper from the Okla. Prisons Dept.? “It appears that conservatism has pathological dimensions manifested in violence and distorted psycho-sexual development” (Boshier, 1983). This is supported by a study conducted by Walker, Rowe, and Quincey (1993) in which there was a direct correlation between authoritarianism and sexually aggressive behavior. An investigation done by Muehlenhard (1988) revealed that rape justification and aggression toward subordinate individuals was much higher in traditional (conservative personality) than non-traditional personalities. ”
Why did you not know that? Perhaps another quote might be informative for you (though I doubt it). “Conservatism is not the doctrine of the intellectual elite or of the more intelligent segments of the population, but the reverse. By every measure available to us, conservative beliefs are found most frequently among the uninformed, the poorly educated, and the less intelligent” (McClosky, H. Conservatism and personality. American Political Science Review, 52, 27-45.).

  • Whatever

… and, I might add, the closer we get to the Presidential election, the more likely that Ann Coultier’s face is going to split open and an alien is going to pop out…

She is sounding more and more desparate by the day…

  • Whatever

Ann Coultier is great at distorting the truth. Anyone with an ounce of social awareness knows that blacks are treated with a huge amount of suspicion in Southern Chicago by LEOs. I didnt live there, but I worked there for six long months, commuting back to Wisconsin every weekend. It is a crap hole… and anyone in public office or a public position who tries to make it a better place in my opinion is a saint.

I can tell you from first hand experience that Chicago and any other major metropolitan area, for example Milwaukee or Detriot (where I have friends that are cops) is seriously understaffed and underfunded. To blame that on a mayor is just plain stupid. It is usually a State legislature that controls the money that the local agency will get for protective forces.

What the hell are the cops supposed to do? Hold a bake sale in their time off? Criminal prosecution of blacks is disproportionate to actual crimes committed. Now that the truth is coming out with DNA evidence exonerating a lot of people wrongly convicted… we are finding out just how broken the justice systems really are in this country.

Call me a liberal… but I support the second amendment. I do believe if police forces and citizens are stripped of their firearms, that crime will skyrocket. Gun control just means that only the criminals will have guns. Now, mind you, I do not own a firearm, since it is just more of a hassle and I do not feel like dealing with it every time I get stopped for a routine traffic stop.

But, intelligent people know that our incarcertation and execution of any person is a broken system… funny thing is, a friend of mine who is a lawyer said, “But it is still the best system in the world.” I beleive that, but we still have a long way to go.

Some people should know better than to spew their racial hatred on a pro civil rights forum. Come on now, do not insult our collective intelligence here.

  • James Staples (JimRinX

You forgot to mention, in light of Ms. Coulters Appeal to descendants of certain Radical Hugenot Emigrees, that Zimmerman is a (I’m assuming; but it’s surely the case) Catholic…….
Divide and Conquer……In The Name Of The One True Church, and The One True Holy Right, and The One True Sacriment, and The One True Blond Haired Blue Eyed Jesus, and In The Name of The One True Greatest Gods Glorious Host……blather, smather, speeeeew!
Mostly, though, it’s the Booty – and the Woem who you get to F*ck, and then just kill, sooo…no rug rats to take care of….lots of pussy, and money too – AND gods Blessings?
Wow! I LIKE that “God”, don’t YOU?!?
Wonder why it says that their “Saviour”, when, like all Boddhisatvas are, He is next Reincarnated, is going to, “….condemn, as evil, the Church created in His Name,” and then, “….seek to destroy it.”.

  • Sam Molloy

I see firearms ownership as a defense against large violent thugs, armed or unarmed, of any color or persuasion. If you don’t want one, fine. If you do, get training in the law and safe operation and storage.

  • Aron

The problem with that reference is that Breivik is likely a hero to folks like ‘Rebecca.’ They don’t find them scary at all.

    They’re just sick.

  • CM

“So don’t lay that ‘right wing conservative’s are scary’ crap down. It’s just not true.”

    Three words: Anders Behring Breivik.

Seems like you’re the one who has “never heard of ‘the news.’”

  • Reynardine

The late Rev. Father George Gladky defined such things as “places without a zip code”, while one of our circuit judges referred to them as “places beyond the jurisdiction of this Court”.

  • Shadow Wolf

Rebecca Smith the embattled wife of Mr. Jason Smith.
They were a match made in la-la land.

  • Supersonic250

    Rebecca Smith-

….I was joking. I should have figured that someone would be too dense to realize that. I actually support not just strict, but total gun control. The only people with weapons should be the police or the army.

  • Ruslan Amirkhanov

Hi Rebecca, I couldn’t help but noticing you’re a moron. Let me explain the difference between the Trayvon Martin killing and this “black on black violence”(more on that later). What happens when one of those scary black folks kills another black person? If they are caught, they are ARRESTED. Zimmerman was NOT ARRESTED, and the police department attempted to produce phony evidence to smear Martin. For example, three witnesses claimed that they heard Martin screaming for help when struggling with Zimmerman. A couple weeks later, the police department decided to run with Zimmerman’s version of the story(the one where Martin attacks Zimmerman while simultaneously talking to his friend on his cell phone).

Now about that “black on black” crime. An axiom in criminology is that over 90% of crime is INTRA-RACIAL. For example, most white people are killed by white people(often times the victim and perp know each other). Despite this well-established fact, how many times have you heard anyone talk about “white-on-white” violence?

    Yeah, that’s what I thought.

  • Reynardine

    Rebecca Smith, you look familiar.

  • Jonas Rand

The whole world should be disarmed in my opinion. Then there will be no governments, no police terror, no private militias (whether belonging to Congolese warlords or Montana survivalists), no terrorist organizations, no more war, and no gang killings. Overall, there would be peace. No one should be able to impose their will by force regarding harmless activities.

That being said, as we DON’T live in peace and freedom from oppression, violence may sometimes be necessary to resist oppression. Is IludiumPhosdex above really suggesting it was a bad thing for John Brown to conduct the Raid on Harper’s Ferry? With the abuse they were dishing out (and still are, though not as harshly), the federal government deserved resistance and a slave rebellion too.

  • Sam Molloy

Ann Coulter is a first class nut job, but the SPLC should not try to rewrite history. In Nazi Germany the only people allowed to own guns were in the military.

  • Rebecca Smith

First of all, ABRAHAM LINCOLN was a REPUBLICAN. When it came to voting in favor of freeing the slaves; democrats voted 100% AGAINST freedom for slaves.

Groups evolve and change, just like people. Words like “liberal” that meant something once before (like when my mom was a hippie fighting for ‘rights’ of different groups of people, including gay people who got arrested for ‘being gay’ in public) just because they thought everyone should be who they were without fear of abuse or arrest.

I’m sorry but those ‘liberal’ people, well it’s not about freedom for all now, it’s about DEMANDING for SOME while ridiculing others.

Don’t condemn viciously those you ACCUSE of condemnation, because then you are no different.

I’ve never heard such ridiculous statements in my life. Safe from the right wing nut jobs? Is that who you think is most likely to shoot you? I guess you’ve never heard of “the news”. As Thomas Haines says above, some 50 odd people were shot in Chicago the week before Trayvon was shot -you think those were ‘right wing nut job’ killing perpetrated with legal guns? GET REAL. You know that’s a lie, and I don’t know why it feels so good for you to tell it.

Anybody with money can and does buy guns on the street. 14 year olds have guns. My stepfather and 82 year old great aunt were murdered by a 14 year old during a home invasion robbery. They were tied up, shot and set on fire. Believe me, it wasn’t a right wing conservative. It was a 14 year old black kid who LOOKED 10 years old, probably wasn’t even 5 feet tall.

Every day I read the news, people are dropping like flies, and it is usually black people dying and black people shooting; and I guarantee 90% or more of those guns are ILLEGAL; and none of those shooters are right wing nutjobs.

The #1 cause of death for black american males of the ages 14-35 is HOMICIDE at the hands of another black person.

Black people are 13% of the population; are 46.6% of all homicide VICTIMS. (not pointing at shooters here BUT VICTIMS) And the reason why is because they are killing each other.

So don’t lay that ‘right wing conservative’s are scary’ crap down. It’s just not true.

  • Shadow Wolf

One should know the exact truth behind such laws like that of “Stand Your Ground”, which are obviously Republican sponsored and written, for the sole purpose of “defending themselves” against a black man, or a non-white. The “Stand Your Ground” is a “white privilege” law to benefit their racist elitist agenda. Where they came to believed that most average blacks are common criminals, ex-con, felons etc. And under these laws, does not grant them that “privilege” to arm themselves. But rather when they find themselves being questioned and/or arrested by law enforcement, while in the possession of a firearm. Serves as a catalyst for further criminal prosecutions.

In other words, “Stand Your Ground” is not designed to protect a common black man.

  • Snorlax

Ann Coulter just spews outrageous nonsense to get attention. Maybe if we all ignore her she will just go away.

  • Reynardine

The mayor of Chicago is not a white man, Haines? You gave yourself away right there. Go back to Moonfront and tell them you blew your own cover.

  • Mitch Beales

Erika if Trayvon Martin did have a gun he would have been within his rights under Florida’s “stand your ground” law had he shot George Zimmerman by whom he clearly felt threatened. Do you think he would have been arrested immediately if he had?

Like other laws, laws controlling the sale and possession of firearms are not enforced equally. Furthermore most venues do not permit felons to own firearms so many blacks will be prevented from bearing arms just as they have been prevented from voting. In short Coulter’s claims are nothing but hypocrisy.

  • Thomas Haines

Interesting comments about the democrate party. In 1860 they were the party of Slavery, In 1960 they were the party of Jim Crow segregation. Under Lynden Johnson Al Gore Sr opposed civil rights legislation as did Bill Clinton’s mentor (look him up). It was the Republicans that got the votes to pass civil rights legislation. I was marching in the 60’s and met Dr King, a Republican. Miss Coulter is right about gun laws. The democrate slave owners did not want my ancestors armed PERIOD. George Zimmerman may or may not have committed a crime. A liberal Harvard lawyer, Allen Dershowitz?? says the prosecutors deposition should be thrown out, we shall see. I want to remind everyone living in a big city ghetto (I worked in Oakland CA in the 60s) that the political party controlling black shools and the city government is NOT THE REPUBLICAN PARTY. Are things better in Detroit for black people now? How is the drop out and crime rate doing? Oh yes, the weekend before Trayvon was shot I believe in the south side of Chicago (guess who organized that community-Obama) if I remember right around 50 black people were shot and about a dozen died!.The mayor of Chicago is not a white man and what is he doing? NOTHING!!!!!! God help our people!!! Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson and Louie Fahrakan’s ancestors were the ones that were the black oversears on the plantation whipping my ancestors. The people in the ghettos are mearly unemployed SLAVES working for the democrats for the same benefits our SLAVE ancestors did!!! Wake UP!

  • IludiumPhosdex

Let’s not forget that Rev. Henry Ward Beecher’s Plymouth Church in Brooklyn raised funds for the purchase of rifles (“Beecher’s Bibles”) in furtherance of the Harper’s Ferry Uprising under John Brown in 1859, which sought to raid the Federal arsenal at Harper’s Ferry (now in WV) and procure rifles towards a slave rebellion.

Which, as we all know, ended badly, with the ringleader eventually executed for treason (not to mention being the inspiration for that “John Brown’s Body” campfire song, the melody of which later became “The Battle Hymn of the Republic” but had its ultimate origins in a camp meeting hymn of the 1820’s and 1830’s).

  • Supersonic250

I agree with Concerned Citizen on this one… I think citizens should be able to get anything they want! AK47s, military-grade assault rifles, bazookas… But I think ALL ammo should be made illegal AND be registered very closely! That way everyone gets what they want. Conservative nutjobs get their guns, and everyone else gets to be safe from conservative nutjobs! ^_^

  • Concerned Citizen

i think everyone should have the right to arm themselves, whetether they’re black,white,Jew,hispanic,str8, gay, disabled or anything catagories).. This shoulf be the American Way. Liberals and some conservatives wants to take away our rights of self defense.

  • chris

Yeah she’s got a VIVID imagination! lol

  • Erika

If Trayvon Martin did have a gun, Anne Coulter would be among the first to hail George Zimmerman as a hero.

I do applaud her for her career which proves that you can become a “best selling” author while being functionally illiterate (the local birdcage liner where my parents live used to print her column and my father and I would often laugh at how terrible her writing is – her columns were so badly written and full of logical fallasies to be practically incomprehensible).
