Y’all Means All

It is difficult, if not impossible, to feel pride as we witness the systemic devaluation of Black lives. The most recent string of murders of unarmed Black people lays bare a system of oppression and anti-Black hate that touches the lives of so many members of the LGBTQ community.

We see you. We acknowledge your pain and fear. The threat against you is real.

We want to do something different this Pride Month. We are launching a new initiative to send a powerful message to the LGBTQ community: We have your back.

The Southern Poverty Law Center and Jesse Tyler Ferguson’s Tie The Knot are teaming up this Pride Month to launch the Y’all Means All campaign, to show support for the LGBTQ community amid a rise of anti-LGBTQ hate groups and legislative bigotry across the United States.

The campaign throughout the month of June comes weeks after the SPLC released its Year in Hate and Extremism report that shows a sharp spike — nearly 43% — in anti-LGBTQ hate groups in 2019 and an administration that has embraced the agenda of anti-LGBTQ leaders.

Here’s how you can help: Take the Y’all Means All pledge and ask your family members and friends to take part, too.

The growing number of anti-LGBTQ hate groups has threatened the safety and well-being of members of the community, with some garnering mainstream influence as high as the Oval Office.

These groups have leveraged their power to create and reinforce legal barriers to equality, with many legislators across the country, especially in the Deep South, failing to protect LGBTQ people from discrimination and violence.

Everyone has a right to live and be all of who they are. And that’s why we are launching the Y’all Means All campaign this Pride Month.

Here’s how you can take part:

This year for Pride, show your support for the LGBTQ community. Take the Y’all Means All pledge to reject white supremacy and show your support for our shared vision of uplifting LGBTQ people in the Deep South and across the country.

Thank you for joining us this Pride Month! We are so grateful that you share our mission to protect and advance the rights of the LGBTQ community.
