A Complex Problem We Can Conquer

Hate Violence Is Everyone’s Problem
Hate-based crimes that target individuals for their race, religion, sexual orientation or gender identity are an individual and societal problem. State-based violence that supports white supremacy is undermining our vision of an inclusive democracy.

The Far Right Fuels Extremism
More than 1,500 hard-right extremist groups operate across the country, pushing white supremacy, white Christian nationalism, antigovernment sentiment, antisemitism and other dangerous ideologies.

Eradicating Hate Starts with Communities
To push white supremacy out of the mainstream and remedy the harm done to communities, we must intervene proactively by supporting grassroots partners and building resilience to extremism.
What We’re Working On
Litigation
Using federal, state and local laws, we bring lawsuits against hate and extremist groups to cripple their operations.
Research and Analysis
Through our Intelligence Project, we monitor and expose hate and antigovernment movements advancing white supremacy.
Preventing and Responding to Hate
We create community resources for early prevention of radicalization and non-carceral solutions to responding to hate.
Defending Inclusion and Democracy
In court, we combat attacks on inclusive and equitable public policies while advancing community-driven solutions for racial justice.
Community Education
We promote and incentivize the teaching of accurate U.S. history and the pursuit of justice.
