Karen Baynes-Dunning

Karen Baynes-Dunning has had an extensive and varied career working on behalf of vulnerable children, youth and families as a lawyer, juvenile court judge, advocate, and policy program manager. In 2013, she was appointed as a federal monitor to oversee the reform of the Georgia Department of Family and Children Services under a class action consent decree. Baynes-Dunning also served on the Georgia Judicial Nominating Commission and the American Bar Association’s Project for Judicial Excellence in Child Abuse and Neglect Proceedings. She has served in the classroom and as a member of multiple local, state and national nonprofit boards. She is president of Baynes-Dunning Consulting.
