Apply for an SPLC Internship
The SPLC’s internship program provides students with an opportunity to advocate for racial justice in the South and beyond. Interns work in partnership with communities to dismantle white supremacy, strengthen intersectional movements and advance the human rights of all people.
Hiring Process
The SPLC is committed to providing a fair and transparent hiring process for all candidates, including interns. The hiring process will consist of four stages:
Internship Program Highlights
Summer
Paid internships start at the beginning of June and end in August.
Fall
Paid internships start at the beginning of August and end in December.
Spring
Paid internships start at the beginning of January and end in May.
- Fall, spring and summer internship opportunities will be posted on our website and with your career services office.
- Interns will have weekly check-ins with supervisors and professional development opportunities. Virtual social activities are also scheduled throughout the program.
- Remote opportunities are available.
- All necessary technology is provided by the SPLC. Cellphone and internet stipends are offered throughout the summer.
- Summer interns will have a break during the week of July 4, when the SPLC offices are closed.
