Ending Unjust Imprisonment

Due Process Town Hall – Tuskegee

The SPLC Alabama State Office will host a town hall-style community event in Tuskegee, Alabama, designed for middle and high school students and their parents or guardians. The goal is to provide clear, accessible information about the rights students and families have within Alabama’s public school systems, particularly when it comes to discipline, suspensions, expulsions and other due process matters.

The session will be led by an SPLC attorney who specializes in youth due process issues. Attendees will receive practical information about what due process looks like in different scenarios and will have the opportunity to ask questions.

This event is strictly informational and community focused. It is not an effort to identify potential litigants or contribute to any broader litigation strategy. The sole purpose is to equip families with knowledge about their rights so they can better advocate for themselves and their children.

Registration for this event is now closed.
