A new proposal under consideration in Washington could make it harder for millions of Americans to register and vote in elections. At issue is whether Americans should be required to show a passport or other citizenship document each time they register to vote or update their registration using the federal voter registration form. Having failed to pass the new rule in Congress, anti-democratic actors are hoping that they can sneak through this proposal using the Election Assistance Commission’s (EAC) rule-making process.
But you have the power to fight back and to show them that the American people are paying attention to attacks on our voting rights — even the ones done in the dark.
Tell the EAC to scrap the proposed changes to the voter registration process.
